My first interview is up already at

Otherwise, I'm hard at work
on Broken Pentacle, the sequel to Nature's Pentacle.

Well, as usual, I'm behind on my news updates. Wow, a
lot has happened since December. I signed a contract with Loose Id for
Strange Sabbats, a novella set in the same world as Nature's
Pentacle. Here's the short blurb: For Aileen, Bryan,
and Sylvie, three witches related by blood and common circumstances,
finding the men of their dreams is a supernatural ride through love,
jealousy—and fierce, red hot witch sex. I got the cover this week, and
it's hot, hot, hot! Check out the cover and excerpt
here!
I've completed the edits for my Torrid Teasers Vol 47,
coming June 1, 2008 with Whiskey Creek Press Torrid, and now I'm waiting
for my cover. I started an author blog recently, so check it out
here.
And I just set up an author forum at Coffee Time Romance which you can
visit
here. As you can see, it's been a busy
month! As for my work in progress, I'm busy writing Broken Pentacle,
the sequel to Nature's Pentacle, which tells Skyler and Alec's
story.

The big news this month is that I signed a contract for Nature's
Pentacle with Loose Id. My first full-length novel will be
released April 1, 2008. Nature's Pentacle is my wildest, sexiest
story yet. Here's the hook:
When a witch loses everything and evil forces are on the rise, she
finds salvation in a no-holds-barred ménage. I have an excerpt up
on my "Books" page, so check it out! I've got to say, the book
contract is my best Solstice gift ever. I'm very excited, and am
already hard at work on the sequel, Broken Pentacle, which tells
Alec and Skyler's story and picks up where the action in Nature's
Pentacle leaves off.

Here I am, staring September in the face, wondering
where the summer went. My big accomplishment for the summer was
finishing Nature's Pentacle (my 90,000 word, paranormal erotic
romance) polishing it, and sending it off. Favorite summer moments
included outdoor concerts, full moons, the Perseid meteor shower, and
watching my gardens progress through their seasonal sea-change of
colors.

I just found out that two of my manuscripts, Fighting
the Undertow and Nature's Pentacle, are finalists in the
erotica/erotic romance category of the Fab 5 contest. A nice bit of news
on a snowy day in April. Yes, I said snow. The daffodils are
buried under the stuff, and let's just say forsythia looks darn near
pathetic covered in white. But the sun's out today, so here's
hoping the snow melts soon so I can look out the sliding glass doors at
green things coming up in the gardens.

This week, I signed a contract for two short stories
with Whiskey Creek Torrid. Both are romantic erotica, and the
working titles are Three Nights with Adam, and Sex for Six, but those
are likely to change. Coming up with titles is, to say the least,
always a challenge for me. And no, the second story isn't about a
wild orgy, but rather a group of six friends with complex, and quite
sexy, relationships. Okay, so there are threesomes in each story,
but nothing wilder than that (grin).

I completed my second manuscript, Fighting the Undertow, at
the beginning of the summer, and then spent several weeks editing.
I attended a local RWA conference in June, and had a great time. I
even managed to win one of the raffle baskets, packed full of gourmet
treats (yum!). Lately, I've been focusing on sending out
submissions, and on my agent search. I just finished reading Emma
Holly's Strange Attractions (red hot!), and now I'm reading Susan
Johnson's When You Love Someone.
They're two of my favorite erotica/erotic romance authors, and I've
been using the promise of curling up with a book at the end of the day
to bribe myself to write cover letters, polish my synopsis, and get
submissions together. When that fails, I resort to bribing myself
with Little Debbie Swiss Rolls (not a very healthy snack choice, but
I'll always work for chocolate).

The Silicon Valley Conference was great! I had a lot of fun,
met lots of fascinating people, and got the chance to pitch my
manuscripts to
four editors and two agents. Now I'm scurrying to get requested
materials ready to send out. After that, the next several weeks
will be spent completing my Undertow story and giving it a
thorough edit. I have another conference coming up in June, but
that one's nearby, and will be a lot more low-key.

The big news for April was finding out that Fighting
the Undertow is a finalist in Passionate Ink's Stroke of Midnight
Contest. With the start of May, I've been busy getting my website
up and running, and preparing for a conference in California.
Tomorrow morning I fly out to San Jose, and Saturday I'll be pitching my
manuscripts to editors and agents. Of course I'm not actually
packed yet, but I did practice my pitches earlier, and that's the
important part. Hopefully there'll be more news once I get back
from the conference.
